Australian property group, Mirvac presented us with the idea of “how do you live your best urban life.” The brief was to design and present an innovative concept and strategy to showcase this. We were asked to create a space that considers the impacts of modern life, a new wave of sustainable living by providing innovative ways for people to live their lives in the city.

COVID-19 has affected our livelihood as we know it, cities have undergone major ‘hits’ as our world was forced into lock down. This highlighted Australia’s housing fault lines when it comes to affordability. Excessive rent and exorbitant sale prices have led to home-ownership rates falling among all Australians. 

The intent here was to “improve our urban world,” by creating a system that does not fail those who are not yet financially established or those in the lower-medium income bracket.  
 

Micro-apartments designed efficiently and creatively, provide a fully functional  ‘feel good’ space as a forever home 
or more likely a stepping stone to the next phase of life.
